writing about british caribbean life...from a different perspective

Being lucky! Does it really exist?  Part one

Why do we grudge others and say they were just lucky in their pursuits? Whether they got a better job than us, won the lottery or had the chance to travel overseas. What is it about seeing others progress that makes them lucky and us unlucky? Millionaires are said to be lucky including our sportsmen, music artists and media personalities. When it comes to achieving ambitions, I do not believe in luck. However, I do know that when your preparations meet a recognised opportunity; amazing things start to happen. The preparations I write about refer to are physical and mental preparations. I will start with the latter; Mental Preparations.

Do you learn from the lessons of every bad experience? Do you use these lessons to develop yourself to a higher level or do you continue to blame others or the government for your mishap and shortcomings?

Do you speak positively about your current situation; seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, knowing that one day your hardships will be your testimony or do you speak with an air of hopelessness and despair?

Do you know we all deserve to reach your ambitions?   That we are all equal to the rich and the wealthy? Do you constantly remind yourself that God loves us and treats us all the same or do you believe that the poor will always be poor and that things can never change?

What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.  With mental preparation, you find a way to understand and know that you are worthy and deserve the best that life has to offer.

With mental preparation, you always learn the lessons from every bad situation. You seek to find gratitude for the opportunities God has given you; to learn something new about yourself and the way life operates.

With mental preparation your words speak highly of life, your ambitions and your ability to achieve them. Like planting a seed in fertile ground, every word you utter should be healthy seeds that are ready to bear the sweetest fruit.

With mental preparation, you know that God has given everybody the key to achieving ones ambitions and that it’s up to you to listen to the whispers and signs of God's guidance ... or not.

Once we are mentally prepared we are naturally ready to begin the physical preparations. What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.  A step by step guide is available in Part Two.

The future is bright my friends. I always make things happen and you do to.

    #Ilovetowrite

I walk with a note pad because typing in my phone does not compare to writing my thoughts, insights and epiphany's  in ink.

The words, concepts, thoughts and ideas can be abstract.

For me they are very real and reflect my experiences and many observations.
