'Follow your passion and all your desires shall come true'
There's something about presenting that gets me excited. Not in a childish way, but in a way which brings clarity and focus. They call it passion.
I love presenting. So whilst I am looking for a new home, how could I not, create a show that can simply be presented to my listeners.....off air.
The first 'An Audience with Elen B' is being presented with Karl X, a radio presenter, and a great one at that. He has interviewed so many key icon's within the international and British community.
Check out his profile on our EventBrite page elenbkarlxlive.eventbrite.co.uk.
So, 'An audience with Elen B' is a perfect way to discuss matters within the community that would simply be too controversial and / or sound too insulting to if we discussed it live on air.
I'm basically following the feel of theatre productions.......that is; tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing less than what you think or feel is the truth; about society and the way we live.
If your a theater going you will know exactly what I am talking about.
For those who have not been fortunate (or unfortunate in some cases) to experience 'the theatre darling' (terrible I know) you are missing a world where the play writer/s reveal all manner of views and opinions. Some funny, some depressing and some that are 'damn right rude en outta arda' (Jamaican slang). But their views and opinions are the hidden thoughts of society and there just as important as the air we breath. How can we possible move forward and progress if we keep lying to each other and hiding our truths'.
Please don't misunderstand me. I am not saying that 'An audience with Elen B' is a slagging match. I'm saying that it's important for us to share our views, in a safe, reflective environment.
With 'An audience with Elen B', I am opening the door for honest, empowering conversations where people know it's okay to share, explore and alter (if they wish) the views and opinions they have about society, current issues and the way we live together; as one people, one community........or not.
Whatever your background. I hope you will come down and join us on Wednesday 25th September 2013, 6-9pm, at Kimos Wine Bar and Restaurant, in Stoke Newington, London, N16. Go to elenbkarlxlive.eventbrite.co.uk for more information.
I walk with a note pad because typing in my phone does not compare to writing my thoughts, insights and epiphany's in ink.
